Syed Haq’s translation of William Shakespeare’s Hamlet is now available from Anyaprakash. Written in the last few months of the author’s life and completed within the space of just two weeks, the translation was initially called “Amar Hamlet” (My Hamlet) due to Syed Haq rearranging certain sequences according to his preference. He subsequently renamed the play to just “Hamlet”, reverting to the original title prior to publication. The play is currently being produced by Nagorik Theatre under the direction of Ataur Rahman.
